During one of my plein air trips in the Carpathians, the first snow fell in Verkhovyna. I was inspired by the contrast between the fresh snow and the warm autumn colors still glowing on the trees. I wanted to capture this fleeting moment when autumn and winter briefly meet in the mountains.
